When you have a chronic illness, working from home is often the best option because allows you to create your own schedule, work at your own pace, and avoid pressure from others, or exposure to germs, toxins, and any triggers that cause you to feel worse and set you back.

Staying and working from home on your blog, you avoid confrontation with all the people who don’t believe you or don’t understand what you are going through. Stress causes your symptoms to flare but by staying home you can avoid the triggers, and instead, focus more on taking care of your own needs to keep well.

Just to stay well is a full-time job, so it is ideal to work from home to give yourself time for recovery.

Having no money and struggling with a chronic illness can be a daunting task. But unlike starting a YouTube channel or e-commerce store, starting a blog requires very little effort in terms of feeling pressure because you don’t have to rush, but instead, publish in your own time.

When you run a YouTube channel, you have to constantly create videos, you feel pressured which is not always easy when you have a chronic illness. The same goes for an e-commerce store – you have to source products, take photos, create descriptions, etc. But with a blog, all you need to do is write and hit publish!

If you have a chronic illness and are looking for ways to make money, then starting a blog is the best way to do it!

      The first dollar…

My family never believed I could make money blogging because it took me exactly one year to learn the art of blogging, and a total of two and a half years since I wrote my first clicked publish, to make my first dollar.

But that’s on me, I was a perfectionist, and this very perfectionism halted me in my progress.

But still, because it took time, my family was doubtful that I could make an income from blogging. And it was only until recently when they saw my blog’s monthly earnings report did they finally understand that it is possible. I even started my own shop.

I don’t make a full-time income from my blog just yet, but I’m on the right track and with the right mindset – to never give up!

If you want to make money blogging, it will take time and consistency. But if you’re passionate about writing and helping others, then it’s definitely worth it!

To make your first dollar is going to take you at least 8 months to a year, and this is if you’re writing quality content, promoting your blog, and being consistent with your writing.

If you want to make money blogging, it’s not going to happen overnight. But if you’re willing to put in the hard work, then it is possible to make a full-time income from home and change your life, even with a chronic illness.
