You can find out more in the following article: https://www.worryhead.com/why-endometriosis-destroys-marriages/ and the eBook "Endo-Tool: Endometriosis for Men" is available here: https://www.worryhead.com/endotool/ Endometriosis can be heartbreaking - not only due to the physical pain it directly inflicts, but also its accompanying risk of infertility. The exact cause has yet to surface, and though severe cases still allow for natural conception at a rate of 60-70%, there are other facets that take their toll on both intimate relationships as well as individual mental health. My wife was diagnosed with the worst type of endo, stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis, in addition to fibromyalgia diagnosis following her endo journey. And this journey was never easy... I can openly say, that what often translates into an even bigger obstacle, is when sex life becomes unbearable from the constant unpredictable pains associated with this condition. However, no one should ever feel ashamed or guilty about taking steps towards finding relief amidst these trying times, if they cannot bear through intercourse any longer which is not something they have chosen nor did they deserve! Endometriosis can bring a couple to the brink of divorce, as physical intimacy is painfully out of bounds. For some women affected by this distressing disorder, being physically intimate with their partner becomes unbearable - and marriage without sex life seems unimaginable. Endometriosis brings marriages apart when men are unwilling or unable to understand how incapacitating this condition can be for many women. Often it's even led wives to lead husbands down an unpalatable path towards separation in order that they may find happiness elsewhere outside the confines of a broken relationship. My wife asked me on numerous occasions to divorce her for the sake of my happiness. She thought that I could have a better life with someone else. She felt like a burden in every way, saying that I must have pulled a short straw when marrying her... I disagreed, I couldn't be happier. Happy or not, endometriosis takes a lot of financial and emotional toll on the woman's entire support system. Because of the pain, unpredictable flare-ups, heavy bleeding, fatigue, iron deficiency, and severe anemia, all result in months of time off work with significant economic losses for both of them. Unfortunately, this is further compounded by increasing healthcare costs leading couples dealing with endometriosis even closer to depression or worse. Some cases have resulted in suicidal thoughts and even tragic outcomes... Despite its impact, being far-reaching emotionally as well as financially it remains largely ignored, overshadowing not only those suffering but also everyone involved around them who blindly hope that they may find relief soon!
